Before I was writing engines, I was lighting scenes in Maya and pulling composites together in Nuke. This is the other half of the multiverse - 3D animation, VFX, and motion work from my time at Vancouver Film School.
Before LaSalle, I spent two years at Vancouver Film School - a Foundation year in Visual Arts & Design, then a diploma in 3D Design & Visual Effects. That's where I learned to light a scenes in Maya and Redshift, composite in Foundry Nuke, and cut and finish motion work in After Effects and Illustrator. It's a different set of tools than my engine work, but the same instinct - figure out how the thing is actually made.
Four pieces from Vancouver Film School — an app concept, two 3D animation projects, and a general editing & VFX reel.
